Junior Estimator

Job Title: Junior Estimator Work Location: Whitefield, Bengaluru Work Timings: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (WFO) & 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM (WFH) Working days: 5 days a week Interview Process: 3 rounds (Virtual) with the Indian team. 1 or 2 rounds (Virtual) with the US team. We are looking for a motivated Junior Estimator one of our clients, an US based government contracting firm specialised in environmental services. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. You will assist in the preparation of cost and tender estimates, data management using SQL, and collaborate with senior estimators to ensure accuracy across construction projects. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction tenders, covering labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Support the tracking of project costs and preparation of estimates based on project requirements. Measure and evaluate project quantities for accurate cost planning in collaboration with the Quantity Surveying team. Use SQL to query and analyse project cost data from internal databases to assist in cost tracking and reporting. Review tender documentation and communicate with vendors to obtain quotations for materials, labour, and equipment. Conduct market research to gather current pricing for materials, labour, and equipment to ensure accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with senior estimators to ensure all estimates align with project specifications and budget. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Basic understanding of tendering processes and cost estimation in construction. Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting. Experience with construction estimation software is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
