Junior Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineer to support our mold design team in creating and maintaining 3D models, 2D drawings, and related documentation. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn mold design principles, develop CAD proficiency, and assist senior designers in all aspects of the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Basic Mold Component Design and Detailing

• Support senior designers in creating accurate 3D models and 2D drawings of mold components.
• Add dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish annotations under supervision.
• Revise existing designs based on feedback and instructions.

2. Prepare and Manage Drawings & Documentation

• Create and update bill of materials (BOMs) and tool assembly drawings.
• Organize design files according to internal standards and naming conventions.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and design reports.

3. Develop Proficiency in CAD Software

• Learn and apply essential skills in CAD tools such as sketching, modeling, assembly creation, and drafting.
• Perform basic modeling and detailing tasks independently with supervision and guidance.

4. Learn Mold Design Principles and Provide Support

• Actively study mold design concepts, types of molds, molding processes, and materials.
• Understand the function of various mold components and their integration.
• Support senior designers with design analysis and data collection.
• Participate in design review meetings and apply feedback constructively.

5. Ensure Adherence to Design Standards

• Follow internal drafting and documentation standards.
• Diligently follow instructions and guidelines provided by senior team members.

Qualifications:

• Post Diploma in Tool Design
