Jr. Production Engineer

As a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer with hands-on experience in injection moulding operations, you will be joining our manufacturing team. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising and managing daily injection moulding production operations to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. You will be expected to set up and optimize moulding parameters for different machines and tools, troubleshoot moulding defects, and ensure proper material handling, drying, and feeding of various plastic resins. In this role, you will need to monitor and maintain production output while minimizing downtime and scrap. Collaboration with toolroom and maintenance teams for mould changes and preventive maintenance will be essential. Implementing 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor will also be part of your duties. Moreover, maintaining production reports, shift logs, and ensuring compliance with safety and ISO/IATF standards will be crucial. Additionally, you will collaborate with QA/QC to resolve quality issues and ensure customer requirements are met. Training and guiding machine operators on best practices and standard operating procedures will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Skills & Knowledge required for this role include a strong knowledge of injection moulding machines, familiarity with various plastic raw materials, good understanding of tool design, mould maintenance, and part dimensional inspection. You should also have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material data sheets. Proficiency in using measuring instruments, exposure to ERP systems, production tracking tools, and basic MS Office skills are essential. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive approach to improvement, will be highly valued. Preferred Certifications for this role, though not mandatory, include Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing, ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 Training, and Plastic Processing Certifications (CIPET or equivalent).
