We are seeking a highly motivated and technically sound Jr. Maintenance Engineer / Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join our maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and utility equipment within the chemical plant. This role is ideal for fresh graduates in engineering who are looking to build a career in plant maintenance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment and machinery (pumps, compressors, agitators, blowers, heat exchangers, etc.)
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and record equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with operations and utility teams to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain proper documentation for maintenance logs, checklists, and service reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards as per company and statutory guidelines.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Learn and apply standard operating procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Assist senior engineers in shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities.
Educational Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers welcome)
- Preferred: Candidates who have undergone industrial training or internship in a chemical or manufacturing setup
Job Title: Jr. Maintenance Engineer / Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical)
Job Purpose:
To assist in the maintenance and smooth functioning of all electrical systems and equipment in the plant by supporting preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment such as transformers, motors, panels, VFDs, PLCs, switchgears, and lighting systems.
- Conduct daily inspections and monitoring of electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Support in troubleshooting and rectifying electrical faults in coordination with senior engineers.
- Maintain records of equipment servicing, maintenance logs, and breakdown reports.
- Monitor energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations related to electrical systems.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors for maintenance-related work and spare parts procurement.
- Participate in shutdown and turnaround activities for equipment maintenance and plant upgrades.
- Learn and adhere to the companys SOPs, quality, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies.
- Support implementation of automation and electrical improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (2023/2024 pass-outs preferred)
- Freshers or candidates with 01 year of industrial training/internship experience in a manufacturing setup
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and industrial automation
- Understanding of electrical safety norms and preventive maintenance
- Willingness to work in a plant environment with rotational shifts (if required)
- Strong problem-solving attitude and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD (Electrical), and PLC basics is a plus
Job Title: Jr. Instrumentation Engineer/GET - Fresher
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation & Control Systems:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems across the facility.
- Ensure that instrumentation systems such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and level gauges are operating correctly and are calibrated as per schedule.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Promote safety-first practices within the team, ensuring all tasks are performed with proper safety protocols.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments related to instrumentation systems and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Lead compliance efforts for environmental monitoring and reporting requirements (e.g., emissions, process safety).
- Project Management:
- Manage instrumentation and control projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with contractors or vendors.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on new installations, upgrades, or plant expansions.
- Develop and manage the instrumentation maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in instrumentation systems to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest instrumentation technology trends and recommend upgrades when beneficial to the operation.
- Participate in root cause analysis for instrumentation-related incidents and provide solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 0-1+ years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and control systems.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar process industry is highly desirable.
