Jr Engineer - FE (Tool & Die)

As a Junior Engineer - Front End at Ball, you will play a crucial role in the Shift Operations Team by ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of Bodymakers, Trimmers, Cuppers, and other front-end equipment in the can making line. Your primary responsibility will be to work safely and produce high-quality products in the front end to contribute to Ball's success. Your key responsibilities will include operating front-end equipment efficiently, conducting safety and maintenance checks, ensuring product quality meets specifications, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the front-end area, addressing spoilage concerns promptly, and executing maintenance activities as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for tool usage in bodymakers, maintaining short can rate in bodymakers, and utilizing opportunities for corrective maintenance activities. To qualify for this position, you should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of operation/maintenance experience in a manufacturing background, particularly in a high-speed, high-volume continuous process plant. You should have hands-on experience in maintenance, alignment, setup, and troubleshooting of various equipment, along with skills in CNC machine programming and mechanical tool room work. The ideal candidate must be willing to work shifts and extended hours when necessary, possess computer literacy for generating reports, have analytical skills for interpreting numerical data, and demonstrate knowledge of health and safety work practices. Proficiency in English and local languages is required for effective communication in the workplace.
