You should have a minimum of 2 years of formal professional experience as a UI Developer, with a solid portfolio showcasing design expertise and an eye for aesthetics in layout, grid systems, color theory, and typography. An understanding of web and mobile limitations and the ability to push boundaries creatively are valued qualities. Formal education in interaction design, such as a Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma, is a definite plus.
