As a Java Back-end Developer at NTT DATA, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product managers to ensure the delivery of end-to-end features. It will be essential for you to optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability while adhering to best practices. Your responsibility will also include writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to contribute to the overall success of the projects. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a backend developer. Proficiency in at least one backend language and framework, such as Java/Spring, is a must. Additionally, you should have a proven track record in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs or JPAs. A solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis), as well as familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), will be beneficial for this position. Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, is highly desirable. You should demonstrate strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues efficiently. Moreover, good communication skills in English and the ability to work independently in a remote and distributed team setup are essential to succeed in this role.
