Basic Knowledge and Responsibilities 1. GST & TDS: Basic understanding of GST (Goods and Services Tax) provisions and compliance. Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B). Knowledge of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.). Verification and reconciliation of GST and TDS ledgers. 2. Tally (ERP 9 / Prime): Proficient in Tally for day-to-day accounting entries such as sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers. Maintaining ledger accounts, bank and cash books, and preparing trial balance, profit & loss account, and balance sheet. Generating various reports for audit and financial review purposes. 3. Calling for Collection & Follow-Up: Regular follow-up with customers/clients for payment collection. Maintaining records of communication for effective accounts receivable tracking. Ensuring timely resolution of outstanding dues. 4. Bank Reconciliation: Performing monthly bank reconciliations to match company records with bank statements. Identifying and resolving discrepancies between books and bank records. 5. Stock Record Maintenance: Maintaining accurate inventory records in Tally or stock management software. Regular stock verification and preparing reports for stock audit. Coordinating with store or warehouse for physical stock checks.
