We are currently seeking a skilled Testing & Commissioning Engineer with a university degree in Electrical Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience in protection relay and control panels testing and commissioning within live substations. Key Responsibilities: Protection Relay & Control Panels Testing & Commissioning: Extensive experience in testing and commissioning protection relays and control panels in live substations. Familiarity with ABB, GE/Alstom, SEL, Schneider, and Siemens relays for line distance and line differential protection. Protection Systems: Proficiency in transformer protection, bus bar protection, and bay control unit testing. Conduct system functional testing. Testing of Substation Components: Experience in testing transformers, CTs/VTs, circuit breakers, and performing CT primary injections. High Voltage Substation Experience: Proven experience in testing and commissioning of 132/230/380kV substation protection and control systems, including protection and metering tasks. Advanced Relay Testing: Experience with conventional and state-of-the-art IED relays and controllers, including distance protection, differential protection (line, cable, transformers), bus bar protection, and overcurrent protection. Proficient in testing relays from ABB, Siemens, Alstom Grid, SEL, and Schneider. Protection System Schemes: Ability to check and validate conventional to complex protection system schemes. Perform primary injection, stability, and sensitivity checks of differential protection. Auxiliary Equipment Testing: Testing of transformers, CTs, VTs, auxiliary relays, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, earthing switches, surge arresters, and cables. Substation Automation Systems (SAS): Knowledge and experience in the testing and commissioning of SAS. Networking system experience is an advantage. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is a plus.
