Job Description We are seeking a skilled and proactive Product Development Engineer specializing in Automotive Lighting Systems to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) , hands-on experience with lamp auto parts , injection moulding , and assembly structures , and a keen understanding of special processes such as hard coating, aluminium coating, painting, and chroming. This role involves leading new project activities, cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring product reliability through rigorous testing and validation processes. Key Responsibilities APQP & Project Management: Lead and manage the APQP process for new product development, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Utilize Project Management Systems (PMS) to track project status, update milestones, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Lamp Auto Parts & Injection Moulding: Design and develop lamp components, focusing on integration and manufacturability. Oversee the injection moulding process, ensuring optimal part design and efficient production. Assembly Structure & Special Processes: Develop lamp assembly structures, coordinating with design and manufacturing teams. Manage special processes including hard coating, aluminium coating, painting, and chroming, ensuring compliance with industry standards. New Project Activities: Follow up on local activities for new projects, including injection moulding, assembly, workability trials, and engineering order (EO) status. Coordinate reliability testing and quality assessments to validate product performance. Cost Reduction & VAVE: Implement Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to generate cost-saving ideas and improve product value. Analyze project profitability and recommend strategies for cost optimization. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in product development within the automotive lighting industry, with hands-on experience in APQP, injection moulding, and special processes.

TFT Team Leading & Co-ordinate Team Members for Customer Quality related issues. Supplier Running Mold Problem Analyzing & Rectification Drawing Study & Initial Material Master List Preparation against Drawing. Supplier RFQ Preparation based on Material Commodity. Initial Purchase Order Raising To Vendors. Conducting In-house Trial & Project Related Interface with Concerned Departments. Project Master Schedule Preparation. Parts preparation as per KMI Requirement. Parts supply to KMI from Initial Stage to M Stage. Stage Wise Part Dimension Approval from Customer. Master Sample Submission & Master Checker Fitment Check @ HMI. Part Fitment Check @ KMI. Project Related Document Preparation. New Projects Periodically Review Presentation Preparation . 5 Star Audit & ISO TS Audit Document Preparation. Tool Capacity Working & Documentation for Running Volume Increase & New Projects. VA/VE Suggestion Report Preparation & Submission to Customer after getting Approval from Management. Project related Report Approval Preparatrion
