Job Title: Quality Control Officer Department: Quality Assurance Location: 123/ 1A1 Mambakkam Medavakkam Road, Mambakkam Village, Chennai 600 127 Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager / Plant Manager About Convenio Foods Convenio Foods is a leading provider of high-quality ready-to-eat and frozen food products. Job Summary: The Quality Control Officer is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring that all food products meet regulatory, company, and customer standards. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of Convenio Foods’ production process and brand reputation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-process and final product inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000). Monitor raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods for quality and safety. Perform routine microbiological, chemical, and physical tests as required. Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation practices are followed across the production facility. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions. Identify non-conformities and work with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Assist in internal and external audits and regulatory inspections. Calibrate and maintain quality control instruments and equipment. Train production staff on quality standards and food safety practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality control process enhancements. Requirements: Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in the food industry. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSAI regulations. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficient in MS Office and QC-related software tools. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in HACCP or Food Safety Management Systems. Experience with audits (internal, FSSAI, customer). Work Environment: Work is performed in a production facility with cold storage and warm kitchen areas. Must wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Shift work may be required depending on production schedules.
