Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Interior Fit-Out Department: Quality Control Reporting To: QC Head / Factory Head Location: Factory Experience: 2–4 years in interior fit-out / modular furniture industry Job Purpose: To ensure the quality of Inward materials, In-process components, and finished modular fit-out products to meet company and project specifications. Key Responsibilities:1. Inward Material Inspection ● Inspect raw materials like plywood, MDF, hardware, edge bands, adhesives, laminates, etc. ● Verify material against Purchase Order, IS standards (e.g., IS 303, IS 710), and vendor test reports. ● Approve or reject materials with clear tagging and documentation 2. In-Process Quality Checks ● Monitor panel cutting, edge banding, routing, drilling, and assembly stages. ● Check workmanship, alignment, dimensions, finishes, and internal hardware fitment. ● Ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and tolerances.3. Final Inspection / Packing Stage Conduct inspection during final panel packing to avoid scratches, wrong labels, or damages. ● Check for edge finish, correct routing, joinery, hardware fixing, and lamination. ● Ensure proper protective packaging as per SOP. 4. Site Quality Support (if applicable) ● Visit site occasionally to inspect fit-out installation issues. ● Coordinate with project team for on-site NCRs and rectification tracking. 5. Documentation & Reporting ● Maintain inspection records (inward, in-process, final) in standard QC formats. ● Highlight NCRs with evidence (photos, reports) and coordinate with the production team for correction. key Skills Required: ● Diploma / ITI in Civil / Mechanical / Interior Design field. ● Knowledge of IS standards related to modular/interior materials (e.g., IS 17634, IS17635, IS 710, IS 303). ● Use of measuring tools. ● Attention to detail and understanding of modular furniture systems. ● Basic MS Excel/Google Sheets knowledge for report entry.
