This post is a fixed term for one year Hours- 20 hours per week Please note this is a GGC wide post and can be moved to any location, however initial base will be Vale of Leven Hospital. This post may close sooner than advertised date depending on level of interest in the post This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records services to patients, medical and nursing staff. Ensure patient appointments for outpatient clinics, day cases and inpatient admissions are administered and processed accurately and that patients' health records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available as and when necessary. To work to support effective clinical care by providing efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist services. To maintain electronic and paper based records systems providing confidential, accurate and up to date information. To maintain patient demographic and administrative data through continual checking and updating of the patient management system. National 4 or Level 1 qualification in 3 subjects, including English or equivalent General administration and office experience/previous clerical experience desirable Computer literate with good keyboard skills Previous reception experience desirable Prior experience of using a Patient Management System would be desirable however training will be provided . You must have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post. This is a permanent, part time position of 18.5 hours. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours. The shift pattern is rotation both days and night shift. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic nurse (Band 5) to join our team in the Medical Assessment Unit/Out of Hours Service at the Vale of Leven Hospital. The post holder will support both the Medical Assessment Unit and the GP Out of Hours Service. Medical Assessment Unit is a 9 bedded bay area, receiving patients via GP and Scottish Ambulance referral with acute medical presentations. Out of Hours GP service works alongside the Medical Assessment Unit in the out of Hours period. The candidate requires experience in the emergency care setting with skills in early recognition and treatment of the unwell patient. Support and ongoing training in all aspects of the role including mentorship will be available. Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen interest in education and developing the unscheduled care role are required. The unit is dedicated to staff development and ongoing training opportunities are available. Immediate Life support certificate is essential. This post is 18.5 hours, rotation both days and night shift. It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse trained in adult in general nursing.
