IT Administrator - Routing & Switching

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Administrator Hardware/System Engineer to manage and support the organizations IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining hardware systems, resolving user-level issues, managing networks, and ensuring the seamless performance of workstations and IT equipment. Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals - Perform OS installations, driver updates, and system re-imaging as needed - Monitor and maintain local networks (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches) - Handle hardware repair or vendor coordination for replacements - Setup and manage user accounts, emails, and software licensing - Regularly back up data and implement disaster recovery plans - Provide technical support to employees, onsite and remotely - Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure hardware/software compliance - Support basic network security practices (firewall updates, antivirus, patching) - Coordinate with third-party vendors for escalations, warranty claims, and AMC support Required Skills & Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field - 4 - 10 years of experience in IT support / system administration - Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware components, and system imaging - Familiarity with networking concepts, IP addressing, and basic troubleshooting - Hands-on experience with remote desktop tools, Active Directory, and antivirus software - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Strong understanding of IT security best practices Preferred Skills : - Knowledge of Linux OS and basic command-line operations - Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) - Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Zoho Desk, Jira, Freshservice) - Certification : CompTIA A+ / Network+ / MCSA / CCNA (added advantage)
