As a Software Test Engineer at our Pune location with 4+ years of experience, you will be responsible for designing and developing an automated testing framework for a variety of tightly integrated web and mobile applications. Your role will involve performing manual functional and exploratory testing, analyzing, writing, and executing test case scenarios using Python, Selenium/Playwright, and Behavioural-Driven-Development technique. Additionally, you will create and execute API tests using the Postman tool. Your key responsibilities will include driving the software test strategy forward to reduce field-found defects and enhance overall quality, security, and performance. You will play a crucial role in supporting the team and ensuring "First Time Right" delivery of the code, thereby being a key team player. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Computer Engineering degree (B.E or B.Tech. or M.Tech.) from a reputed university and possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, particularly with complex modular platforms deployed globally. You must also be an ISTQB Certified Foundational Level professional and have experience with Behavioural-Driven-Development (BDD) or pytest or Hybrid framework. The ideal candidate will have proven scripting and programming skills to drive automation in QA processes, a strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycle, and knowledge of API testing, Performance testing, Security testing, Usability testing, etc. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, GIT, and continuous integration is essential for enabling continuous deployment. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must-have for this role, along with strong problem-solving abilities. The role of a QA Engineer involves taking care of end-to-end testing and quality requirements of the game. You will closely collaborate with developers and the Project Analyst to ensure the quality of the product. It is expected that you are a proactive self-starter, quick learner, rigorous in your work, possess an analytical mind, and have good problem-solving aptitude. Being curious, creative, and having a keen eye for details in identifying issues in the game are important attributes. Continuous learning, adaptability to new skills, and being result-oriented are also essential. Your responsibilities will include creating and documenting test cases covering 100% design of the game/feature, executing test cases and plans, analyzing and updating test results, reporting encountered bugs in the bug database, and performing various testing types such as Functionality, Regression, Sanity, and Smoke testing. Completing assigned tasks with expected quality within deadlines, tracking reported issues, and adapting quickly to changes in tasks, processes, and projects are core responsibilities. Focus on details to enhance the player experience is crucial. In terms of technical knowledge, you should understand the game/assigned feature design through design documents, evaluate test results based on specifications, and troubleshoot technical and debug issues related to the platform. Collaboration within the team, proactive communication, task execution, and authentic sharing of updates and queries are key. Taking the lead on smaller tasks, reporting daily task coverage accurately, and possessing awareness and ability to perform compatibility, interrupt, localization, and network tests are expected technical competencies.
