Job Description

Role Summary:

The Senior Executive - Audit will be responsible for conducting operational, financial, and compliance audits across hospital departments and associated healthcare services. The role ensures that internal processes comply with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and quality standards, identifying risks and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and perform internal audits for hospital departments including clinical, administrative, billing, and inventory functions.

Review compliance with healthcare regulations (NABH, JCI, local statutory bodies) and internal hospital policies.

Analyze operational processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks, and suggest corrective measures.

Conduct audits related to patient billing, insurance claims, pharmacy, laboratory operations, and medical records.

Perform surprise audits on cash handling, procurement, and stores management.

Verify and validate documentation for statutory compliance (like licenses, insurance, biomedical waste management, etc.)

Support financial audits by checking revenue streams, payment collections, consultant agreements, and expense controls.

Draft audit reports with clear observations, impact analysis, and practical recommendations.

Collaborate with department heads and senior management to implement corrective actions and monitor progress.

Assist in external audits, accreditation renewals, and quality initiatives as required.
