We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to spearhead our endeavors in exploring and introducing cutting-edge interior products from both local and global markets. Your main responsibilities will include conducting research on new materials, acquiring technical details and samples, developing working prototypes, and presenting them to architects and interior designers for market evaluation. As an Interior Designer focusing on New Product Research & Development, you will be based in Mumbai on a full-time basis with an immediate joining requirement. Your experience should exceed 3 years in this field to be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Product Research & Sourcing: Identify and investigate innovative interior design products from both national and international markets. Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for product procurement. Gather technical specifications, certifications, and samples of new materials and technologies. - Prototype Development & Testing: Collaborate with the product design and engineering team to fabricate working prototypes and demonstrations. Ensure coordination with the installation team for feasibility and functionality. - Market Validation & Business Development: Present new products to architects, interior designers, and industry professionals to assess demand. Collect feedback and suggest enhancements for product improvement. - Vendor & Supplier Management: Engage in negotiations regarding pricing, quality standards, and timelines with local and international suppliers. Manage logistics for the seamless procurement and delivery of samples. - Sales & Site Coordination: Support the sales team by providing technical insights and aiding in product presentations. Attend site meetings to supervise installations and resolve design-related issues. Skills Required: 1. Profound knowledge of materials, finishes, and emerging design trends. 2. Previous experience in vendor management, supplier negotiations, and international product sourcing. 3. Ability to create prototypes and deliver concepts to architects and designers effectively. 4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. 5. Practical experience in coordinating with installation teams and overseeing site meetings. 6. Readiness to travel for research and business development purposes. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field. - At least 3 years of experience in interior design, product research, or a similar role.
