Project Safety Officer Infrastructure (5+ Years Experience) Location: Bokaro, Jharkhand Department: Safety – Infrastructure Projects Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Openings: 6 About the Company: Northstar Safety Systemz Pvt. Ltd. is India’s trusted EHS & ESG partner, empowering organizations to build safe and sustainable operations. We are hiring experienced safety officers to join our team at a large-scale project site in Jharkhand. Role Summary: The Safety Officer will be responsible for day-to-day site safety compliance, inspections, risk assessments, training coordination, and emergency preparedness. The role is field-intensive and demands a proactive safety mindset. Key Responsibilities: Implement project-specific HSE plans aligned with national standards. Ensure strict adherence to PTW protocols: Confined Space, Work at Height, Excavation, Electrical Isolation, etc. Conduct routine inspections and report non-compliances or hazards. Participate in incident investigation processes and support closure of CAPA actions. Conduct daily toolbox talks, promote reporting culture, and deliver focused training sessions. Assist in preparing safety documentation: JSA, HIRA, SMP, SWP, SOP. Monitor use of lifting tools and tackles, ensuring all are certified and tested. Promote Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), safety competitions, safety week celebrations, and awareness drives. Issue safety violation notices based on severity of incidents. Prepare and submit daily safety logs and monthly reports. Eligibility Criteria: Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical) + Diploma in Industrial Safety Experience: Minimum 5 years of project-based industrial safety experience Key Skills: Hazard identification, safety audits, PTW enforcement, SOP writing, employee training Additional Conditions: Candidates are required to arrange their own food, accommodation, local travel, and basic administrative stationery. Must bring their own laptop. PPE must conform to approved specifications and be arranged by the candidate. Must be flexible to work in rotational or night shifts as per project demands.
