Educational Qualifications: Essential: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Electronics & Communication (ECE) Minimum 60% aggregate marks Desirable: M.Tech in CS / ECE Minimum 60% aggregate marks Experience Requirements: Minimum: 10 years Maximum: 14 years Age Limit: Minimum: 32 years Maximum: 36 years Job Role & Responsibilities: Role Overview: Lead end-to-end infotainment system software development and integration with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and compliance. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to deliver state-of-the-art infotainment features in alignment with vehicle development schedules. Key Responsibilities: Lead in-house infotainment software development efforts, fostering innovation and excellence. Manage the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, validation, and deployment. Collaborate with hardware, UI/UX, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and high user satisfaction. Guide and mentor team members for skill development and performance improvement. Coordinate development with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Develop and review system specifications (hardware/software/control). Conduct software validation at bench and vehicle levels. Oversee 3rd party certifications: Android Auto, CarPlay, Alexa, etc. Ensure compliance with automotive software standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, CMMI). Evaluate competitor systems and suggest enhancements for MSIL models. Handle project schedule and milestone management in line with vehicle development timelines. Develop RFI/RFQ documents as needed. Coordinate with cross-functional and external business partners for infotainment deployment across multiple vehicle platforms. Technical & Functional Competencies: In-depth knowledge of Android OS (AAOS), Linux, and infotainment system architectures Strong hands-on experience in infotainment software design and validation Profound understanding of hardware-software co-development, SoC, memory systems, and vehicle ECUs (e.g., DCM, BCM, IPC) Expertise in infotainment CAN stacks, OTA updates, Hypervisors, and embedded functionalities Requirement gathering for infotainment systems (BT, Wi-Fi, Voice Assistants, HMI, etc.) Strong knowledge of infotainment peripheral hardware: microphones, antennas, speakers, etc. Working knowledge of Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), GENIVI, and safety/quality certifications Familiar with software lifecycle methodologies like Agile and DevOps Hands-on experience with bug resolution and Electrical Software debugging Experience with 3rd party certification processes and automotive testing at bench and vehicle levels Desirable: Automation skills including creating HIL scripts for infotainment testing Behavioral Competencies: Proactive with a positive attitude Effective communicator with strong presentation skills Team player with leadership capabilities Strategic thinker capable of risk analysis and decision-making Ability to coordinate and represent the department across forums Passionate about technological trends and innovation in automotive and consumer electronics
