As the Principal Systems Engineer at Medtronic's MEIC (Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center) in Hyderabad, you will join the Systems Engineering Team within the Surgical Operation Unit. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and contribute to investigations and root cause analysis of issues associated with the Hugo Robotically Assisted Surgical System. Working closely with a cross-functional team, you will support sustaining activities, conduct impact assessments, evaluate requirements, and document system and subsystem architectures. You will take ownership of planning, executing, and documenting sustaining-supporting systems activities, playing a critical role in visible and fast-paced projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Understanding, evaluating, and communicating system performance, desired behavior, and usability in the context of clinical use. - Investigating reported issues to determine root cause and propose technical or process resolutions. - Leading and participating in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) and field Issue Investigation processes. - Evaluating the functional and performance impact of design changes related to enhancements, cost reductions, and component end-of-life issues. - Conducting customer, system, and subsystem requirement impact assessments, changes, reviews, and reconciliations. - Collaborating with engineers to develop an in-depth understanding of the technological foundations of system architecture and detailed design. - Utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering best practices to document and communicate system design changes. - Ensuring that systems design changes and documentation meet relevant safety and regulatory standards by overseeing regulated development processes and standards for risk management, usability, and safety. - Providing leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. - Tracking and communicating the status of deliverables. To be successful in this role, you must possess: - A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics, Mechanical) with 11 to 14 years of relevant experience. - Expert knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and best practices. - Excellent communication skills. - Experience in developing complex electromechanical medical devices. - Previous experience in Released Product Engineering or product sustaining activities. - Expert understanding of design controls and good documentation practices. - Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience. - Experience in requirements management, risk management, and system architecture documentation. What You'll Do You will further develop our privacy governance that aligns with domestic and international regulations. The manager will conduct regular privacy risk assessments and manage privacy impact assessments across the company.
