Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (UAT)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior QA Engineer with experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join our Quality Engineering team. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing of web applications, AEM components, authoring workflows, third-party integrations, and digital assets.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of content-driven platforms, automated and manual testing practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences. You will work closely with developers, content authors, UX designers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure all AEM-based features meet performance, accessibility, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Define QA test strategies, test plans, and test cases for AEM-based features and workflows.

Perform risk-based testing and prioritize test coverage based on business impact.

Participate in requirements grooming, identify test scenarios, and flag potential gaps or ambiguities.

Test custom AEM components, editable templates, page authoring, asset uploads, and metadata.

Validate authoring workflows, content replication (author publish), and DAM functionalities.

Verify front-end and back-end functionality including personalization, search, tagging, and navigation.

Test AEM integrations with external systems like APIs, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, CRMs, and SSO.

Validate WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance using Axe, Lighthouse, or WAVE.

Execute responsive testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

Perform extensive regression testing on AEM to ensure software stability and performance.

Track bugs in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps with clear steps and supporting screenshots/videos.

Report test coverage, pass/fail trends, and defect leakage to stakeholders.

Design and maintain automation test suites for AEM UI testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Adobe Cloud Manager, GitLab).

Validate functionality and user experience across multiple browsers and mobile devices.

Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them.

Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.

Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing efforts.

Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing best practices and advanced testing techniques.

Rigorously test new components and enhancements in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) before every sprint release

Have vast knowledge of AEM platform and its capabilities (familiar with AEM Cloud, AEM 6.5, and historical knowledge on AEM Classic)

AEM cloud migration experience is preferred

Test custom AEM components, editable templates, page authoring, asset uploads, and metadata. Workflows. On-Premise & Cloud

Mandatory Requirements:

Proven experience in testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components & editable templates.

Extensive experience with regression testing in AEM.

Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing.

Proficiency in developing detailed test plans and test cases.

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, mentoring junior QAs.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Optional Requirements:

Experience with performance and load testing.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5 years of experience in software quality assurance.

3+ years of experience specifically in testing AEM components.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
