Job Description

Freelance Senior IAM Engineer (Okta/SailPoint/CyberArk) Remote (Post-8 PM IST)

Experience Required

Role Summary:

highly experienced IAM professional

technical panelist

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed
technical interviews
for candidates across various experience levels (7-15 years).
Design and ask
realistic, scenario-based, and hands-on questions
covering IAM tool internals, integrations, and best practices.
Validate candidates' knowledge of:

Architecture understanding
Implementation experience
Scripting & automation
Troubleshooting skills
IAM standards & security principles

Assess candidates' familiarity with:

IAM protocols (
SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
)
Directory services (
Active Directory, LDAP
)
Cloud security integrations (
Azure AD, AWS IAM, etc.
)

Document detailed, structured
feedback reports
post-interview with scoring, justification, and hire/no-hire recommendation.
Contribute to building and maintaining a question bank and evaluation rubric.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years
of hands-on experience in IAM (must be current and technical).
Proven expertise in
at least one
of the following:

Okta
(SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, UD, API integrations)
SailPoint
(IdentityIQ/IdentityNow, workflows, Java/BeanShell scripting)
CyberArk
(EPV, CPM, PSM, credential onboarding, automation)

Strong technical communication and questioning skills.
Experience in
technical hiring, candidate evaluation
, or acting as a
panelist/interviewer
.
Ability to judge candidates based on
real-world project understanding
, not just theoretical knowledge.
Strong scripting abilities:
PowerShell, Python, Shell, BeanShell, JavaScript
, etc.
Familiarity with compliance standards, least privilege model, audit requirements, and zero trust concepts.
