What do I do Develop detailed I&C designs including control panel layouts, P&IDs, loop diagrams, ICT and ELV drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate I&C systems into project designs. Create control narratives, operation/control philosophies, and cause & effect documents. Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and safety regulations. Maintain accurate I&C/ELV/ICT drawings and models in AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring as-built accuracy. Design instruments, control systems, SCADA, access control, CCTV, public address system, fire alarm system and telecom networks for infrastructure, roads, and tunnels. Produce reports, drawings, calculations, and presentations. Attend meetings with authorities regarding utility designs and follow local Gulf regulations. Advise clients and stakeholders on engineering solutions. Familiar with Navisworks and Microsoft Office for project deliverables. Follow QA/QC standards for project compliance. Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals. Work closely with engineering teams for I&C system integration. Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to address technical queries. Expertise in designing solutions for pumping stations, treatment plants, tunnels, ICT works, and smart lighting. Strong report writing skills. This role is to work as part of WSP Integrated Complementary Resource Centre (iCRC) Engineering team and taking a role in the production of detailed Instrumentation & Control (I&C) drawings in Revit, AutoCAD and Similar applications.The individual will be required to have knowledge in Instrumentation and Control System Design, Process Control Design, PLC Design, OIT and HMI Design, SCADA Network Design for various I&C systems in buildings in Canada (Municipal water and wastewater system, educational, light industrial, hospitals, etc.) Responsibilities Prepare I&C details and concept design drawings for various building and construction types to be built predominantly in Canada Responsible for Revit and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement Design Schedules (I/O list, cable list, instrument lists, etc) Process control narratives (Work with process engineer to develop PCN from process narrative and P&ID, adhere to client standards and or templates) Commissioning documents (Commissioning plan, checklists, specifications etc), Shop drawing reviews Prepare contract drawings and specifications for tendering purposes. Control panel design (Power distribution, wiring schematics, loop drawings, bill of materials, specifications) Network design (Network architecture, specifications, bill of materials) Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD. Design (Concept, Outline and Detail Design) of Instrumentation Control Automation based on international standards for UK region. Good understanding & Working knowledge of various water and wastewater treatment process and related engineering works-Pumping Stations, water treatment works, etc. Supporting global multi-disciplinary teams on Water/Wastewater projects. Prepare Design Basis, P & ID, System/Network Architecture, Control philosophy, PLC GA, Wiring and Schematic Diagrams, I/O list, loop Diagram, Instrument list, and Instrument datasheets. Perform Instrument sizing calculations e.g., Flow Meter. Direct experience with (or direct management of teams using) one or more of the following applications will be considered a plus: AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit, Plant 3D. Review of vendor drawings for various Instrumentation Control Automation systems. Applies broad practical knowledge to design of Layouts Equipment Layouts for outdoor/indoor buildings, trench/tray layouts (Should be able to guide/provide inputs to technicians and review from a technical/quality perspective). Computer literacy in MS office-an understanding of AUTOCAD is essential.
