Job Title: Hydraulic Engineer Water & Sewerage Projects Department: Civil Engineering Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Engineer Location: Belapur ( Navi Mumbai), Kolhapur Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified Hydraulic Engineer with experience in water supply, sewerage systems, and civil infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and execution of hydraulic systems related to urban and rural water distribution, drainage, and wastewater management. This role requires strong technical knowledge in fluid dynamics, hydraulic modeling, and civil engineering practices. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop hydraulic systems for water supply, drainage, and sewerage networks. Conduct hydraulic modeling and simulations using tools ike EPANET, Sewer GEMS, Water GEMS, SWMM, or HEC-RAS. Prepare detailed drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure designs comply with local and national regulations, environmental standards, and engineering codes. Collaborate with civil and structural engineers on integrated infrastructure projects. Conduct site inspections; supervise installation and testing of hydraulic components. Identify and troubleshoot issues in existing water/sewerage systems and recommend improvements. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies as needed. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering Masters preferred). 35+ years of experience in water supply, sewerage. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software. Sound knowledge of fluid mechanics, pipeline design, pump selection, and gravity flow systems. Familiarity with municipal guidelines and urban infrastructure planning. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Ability to manage timelines and project deliverables efficiently.

Lead or participate in water/sewer/stormwater pumping and conveyance projects. Good knowledge and active experience using WaterGEMS, Sewer GEMS and ICM InfoWater/SE. Develop and conduct engineering analysis for planning, studies and detailed designs. Provide project management assistance and technical leadership. Able to present sound technical solutions and work products to peers, clients and other stakeholders. Prepare and develop engineering technical reports, studies and specifications, and evaluate alternatives. Prepare plan and profile sheets utilizing Civil 3D. Provide engineering services during construction support. Assist with business development pursuits, when required. Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: Leading and managing comprehensive water resource management studies for mining projects, from conceptual design through to implementation and optimization. Utilizing advanced modeling and simulation tools to assess water-related risks and evaluate mitigation strategies, enabling data-driven decision-making for global project teams. Evaluating tailings dam integrity, including dam break scenario modeling using computer-aided simulation tools. Conducting hydrological studies involving desk-based research, conceptual and analytical assessments, numerical modeling, and uncertainty analysis for input and output data. Performing storm analysis, hydraulic computations, and 1D/2D hydraulic simulations to estimate flood risks and support flood mitigation planning. Leading the design of mine water management infrastructure, from feasibility studies to detailed civil engineering design stages. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the GCC-IN team, fostering professional development and contributing to knowledge sharing. Preparing detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to support global project teams. Supporting project management responsibilities such as report and proposal preparation, team coordination, and technical oversight. Key Competencies Mandatory Skills Demonstrated experience in flood-related studies for environmental assessments and infrastructure design, with a strong focus on Mining, Water, and Urban Development sectors . Minimum 10 years of professional experience in water resources engineering. Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality modeling practices. Familiarity with International guidelines is preferred. Proficiency in hydrology and hydraulic modeling software such as TUFLOW, ICM, HEC-RAS , and GIS tools (e.g., QGIS ). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proven ability to apply them to international water resource challenges. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse, multidisciplinary global teams. Desired Skills Proven track record of successfully delivering water-related projects on schedule and within budget. Experience in meeting the technical and programmatic needs of international clients and projects. Recognized technical expertise in civil/water resources engineering, ideally with experience supporting mining operations outside of India. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams of water resources engineers in a remote support model. Capacity to challenge conventional approaches and introduce innovation in day-to-day technical work. Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. degree in Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline (preferred). Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in water resources engineering. International project experience is strongly preferred.
