As a Test Manager at Standard Chartered Bank, you will lead a team of test engineers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and champion best practices in testing methodologies, automation, technical assurance, and quality governance. Your role will involve driving capability building and actively contributing to domain-level technology initiatives focused on engineering excellence aligned with the overall technology strategy and priorities. You will be responsible for executing a comprehensive testing strategy for the SCM P2P program that aligns with the bank's overarching technology vision and roadmap. Advocating for quality at every stage of the software testing lifecycle will be a key focus, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards within the delivery function. Additionally, you will establish best practices for test automation, performance testing, and continuous testing in a DevOps/Agile environment while collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to deliver commitments on time with the best quality. Ensuring that testing processes are aligned with business objectives to facilitate seamless software delivery and optimal user experience will be crucial. You will embed testing excellence into the product development lifecycle to support the bank's digital transformation initiatives and work closely with product and business teams to ensure that testing activities contribute to customer satisfaction and meet regulatory requirements. Comprehensive domain knowledge and thorough test coverage across SCM lines of products and business processes will also be part of your responsibilities. You will implement end-to-end testing procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and standardization across testing phases. Establishing and maintaining a robust test automation framework to enhance the speed and accuracy of software delivery will be essential. Moreover, you will ensure adherence to the testing governance model and controls in collaboration with technology assurance teams, managing functional and non-functional testing methodologies and procedures across all applications to maintain uniformity and quality. Compliance with the bank's technology governance processes and Enhanced Software Development Lifecycle (ESDLC) controls will also be a key focus area. Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of test engineers to enhance their domain and technical expertise around SCM applications and business processes will be part of your role. You will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the testing team, identify skill gaps, and provide targeted training on modern testing tools and techniques to make the team future-ready. Promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace that encourages career growth and professional development will also be a priority. In terms of risk management, you will maintain awareness of the main risks facing the Group, particularly those arising from the testing function. Identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating risks to the Group that may arise from testing activities will be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with risk and compliance teams to ensure that testing activities adhere to regulatory and security standards, identifying potential risks in testing processes and implementing proactive measures to mitigate them. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business and overseeing changes in these areas if necessary. Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, as well as the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role, will be important. Delivering effective governance and capability to challenge fellow executives effectively will also be part of your role, along with willingness to work with local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.,
