Role & responsibilities The selected candidate will become the leader of the technical department, composed of experts from the various specialties required for the development of the Companys projects (mechanical, electrical, automation, structural, civil, process, piping, etc.) Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple projects, Ensure that project deliverables meet quality, budget, schedule and HSE targets , while also promoting technical excellence and innovation . Supervise, review and validate the preparation of technical documentation, calculations, and detailed designs, to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Define project scopes, schedules, and resource needs in coordination with Project Management. Interface with Clients, Suppliers, and Subcontractors on technical matters. Support and define resource needs for procurement, commercial offers, business opportunities, new product development strategic and new business lines when necessary. Monitor engineering progress and ensure alignment with projects milestones, and defined strategy and policies. Implement best practices, methodologies, processes, indicators and continuous improvement initiatives related to the technological activity of the Business Line, within the engineering department. Implement appropriate orientation, training, promotion and motivation activities of the technical department. Preferred candidate profile It is essential to provide a professional experience of at least 5 years, preferably in engineering or companies in the industrial/Steelmaking sector, with the following skills: Leadership and team management Technical Expertise . Deep understanding of industrial plants and equipment engineering, main focused in the Steelmaking / metallurgical sector. Project Management . Strong skills in planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering activities within time, cost, and quality constraints. Communication and Interpersonal Skills . Ability to clearly communicate with internal teams, Clients, and Suppliers, handling technical discussions and ensuring alignment with contractual and project requirements. Decision-Making . Analyze situations, identify critical issues and make decisions. Problem-Solving . Skilled in resolving design, execution, or coordination issues efficiently and effectively. Digital and Software Proficiency . Familiarity with engineering and project design software (Solid Edge, Autocad, Navisworks, Office, etc.) Multitasking and Prioritization . Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. Business and Strategic Vision . Capacity to align technical execution with business goals and contribute to strategic planning. English . Written and spoken professional level.
