The Assistant Manager - Civil in the Engineering & Design department specifically for Solar Projects at Pune, India, reports to the Head of Civil Engineering. The role encompasses overseeing ENGIE's activities in India and in all countries where projects are executed. Situated in Viman Nagar, Pune, the position may involve business trips within India and overseas. Responsibilities include conducting site visits in India and abroad across project phases like pre-bid, construction, and operation, preparing comprehensive reports, assessing site feasibility for Solar PV plants, and suggesting remedial measures as needed. The Assistant Manager-Civil also reviews investigation reports, geotechnical studies, and topography reports to propose optimal solutions, prepares technical documentation, specifications, and quality assurance plans, and designs structural and infrastructural elements for Solar PV projects. Moreover, the role entails coordinating with contractors and vendors, providing technical support for operations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and managing queries during construction. The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, possesses 8-10 years of relevant experience in the power generation sector, particularly in solar PV projects, and is proficient in AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and other relevant software. Fluency in English, strong people management skills, and a proactive and results-focused approach are essential for success in this role. The Assistant Manager - Civil should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. With a strong technical aptitude and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, the role requires a process-oriented individual who can deliver high-quality work under pressure and changing priorities.
