Head of Software Engineering

As the Head of Software Engineering at Miko, you will play a crucial role in shaping the software architecture vision and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software for AI-powered robots. Your responsibilities will include defining software architecture roadmaps, managing a team of full-stack engineers, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring operational excellence. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end software development lifecycle, guiding architectural choices across tech stacks like Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, and promoting a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, quality, and ownership. Additionally, you will work closely with founders, product managers, and designers to align engineering roadmaps with business goals and contribute to product innovation and user experience decisions. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of software development experience with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership/architect role. You should possess expertise in Full Stack development, enterprise-grade Java-based backends, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL databases, and CI/CD practices. Strong architectural understanding across mobile, embedded, and cloud platforms, as well as experience with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Android, Reactive frameworks, and cloud-native solutions are essential.
