As a Senior Embedded Software Developer, your responsibilities will include software/firmware development using C/C++ on embedded platforms for spacecraft applications. You will be expected to understand code performance trade-offs, advise on implementation details, and implement low-level embedded targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing embedded software (SW) for projects in the R&D department, including requirements implementation, SW component design, coding, unit testing, documentation, and peer/code reviews. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 7 years of industry experience in a relevant role and hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree. Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing are required, along with familiarity with DevOps software for version control and collaborative development. Experience programming Embedded Systems using C/C++, knowledge of main interface peripherals, familiarity with C98 & Cpp11 standards, and understanding of processor architectures, embedded operating systems, and embedded, real-time, multi-tasking software engineering are essential qualifications for this role. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Android Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) for various hardware components, including (but not limited to) camera, audio, display, and sensors. Optimize HAL performance and power consumption to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience. Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration between the Android stack and underlying hardware. Troubleshoot and resolve complex HAL-related issues , performing in-depth root cause analysis. Stay updated with the latest Android HAL development practices, industry trends, and new hardware interfaces. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages . In-depth understanding of Android architecture and HAL concepts . Proven experience with Android kernel and device driver development .
