You are a highly motivated and experienced PhD-level Scientist with a strong background in metallurgy, quantum dots, and microwave plasma systems, particularly in relation to carbon-based materials. Your role will be vital in R&D, materials synthesis, and innovation in next-generation nanomaterials. Your key responsibilities will include designing and conducting advanced experiments involving quantum dots in microwave plasma environments, synthesizing and characterizing carbon nanomaterials such as graphene, CNTs, or diamond-like coatings, and developing and optimizing metallurgical processes related to carbon-based and quantum dot structures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams in materials science, plasma physics, and product development will be essential. Additionally, you will be expected to publish findings in high-impact journals and present at relevant technical conferences. You hold a PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3 years of post-PhD research or industrial experience in relevant fields. Your skill set should include hands-on experience with microwave plasma systems, quantum dot synthesis, and carbon nanomaterials, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with materials characterization tools like SEM, TEM, Raman, XPS, etc., is required. Preferred skills that would be a bonus for this role include prior work in microwave plasma-enhanced CVD or related thin-film technologies, publications or patents in quantum dots or carbon-based materials, and familiarity with scale-up, industrial applications, or technology transfer.
