As a Data Scientist/Lead/Architect, your responsibilities will include developing AI and machine learning models using Microsoft Azure AI tools like Azure Machine Learning Cognitive Services and OpenAI integration. You will support data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for structured, unstructured, and geospatial datasets, including data from Esri platforms. Collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, GIS analysts, and business stakeholders, you will integrate AI functionality into modern mobile and web applications. Additionally, you will build, deploy, and monitor AI solutions using Azure to ensure scalability and performance. Your role will also involve creating and maintaining technical documentation, participating in product planning and agile development meetings, and staying updated on the latest advancements in Microsoft AI, including Responsible AI practices and Azure OpenAI capabilities. You will champion the adoption of AI and GIS technologies within the organization through demos, technical workshops, and stakeholder presentations. To excel in this role, you should have proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure tools for AIML model training, deployment, and monitoring is essential. Familiarity with Esri's ArcGIS platform, Python-based tools like ArcPy, and understanding of spatial data, GIS workflows, and data visualization using maps are required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences are key for success in this position. Preferred skills include experience with Azure Machine Learning Cognitive Services, Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate, cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, Esri products like ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise, as well as exposure to containerization, Docker, REST APIs, and deploying ML models into production environments. An interest in NLP, computer vision, or predictive analytics in a GIS context will be advantageous. For qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, or related fields is required, while a Master's degree is a plus. Internship or project experience applying AIML techniques using Microsoft tools and cloud services is preferred. Motivation to stay current with evolving Azure AI and GIS technologies, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, agile development environment are essential qualities for this role.
