Job Description Job Title: Die Maker Zinc HPDC Division/Company/Entity: ASSA ABLOY ( SMI ) Location: Jamnagar Department: Tool Room Reports to: Manager Tool Room Region of reports: Jamnagar Position Summary This position will be responsible for Zinc HPDC tool manufacturing and maintenance. Closely work with Product design, Tool Room, Development and production team to meet the timelines. Closely work with internal and external key stakeholders, tools, and fixture suppliers on technical support for their activities . Roles and Responsibilities: Manufacture new Zinc HPDC dies with tool manufacturing standards. Preventive maintenance of Zinc HPDC tools. Ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are made available as per requirement to meet production timelines. Support Production and Engineering by providing toolings, technical solutions and ensure smooth production and subsequently improving OEE. Revisit, Modify and revise existing tool design to meet heightened customer expectations. Proactively participate in VAVE exercise and provide support as required. Coordinate with production and quality team. Adopt and implement modern Tool manufacturing technology to enhance tool and fixture performance. Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of manufacturing Zinc HPDC tools. Sound knowledge of Zinc HPDC slider type tool assembly. Hand on experience on operating all toolroom machines (Grinder, Milling, Lathe, Spark EDM, Drill etc.) Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensions and Tolerances. Analytical skill Post tool development and parts production handover Education Qualification & Experience required: ITI Die maker or Diploma or Certificate course in Tool and Die Maker with 3 to 4 years of experience in an Automotive/Architectural hardware industry , Freshers also can apply Note: This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
