As a Cloud Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is reliable, scalable, and secure. Your duties will include staying updated on the latest GCP technologies and trends, as well as developing and mentoring Cloud engineers and operators. You will play a key role in designing and implementing GCP services availability and performance monitoring. Monitoring the health, performance, capacity, and usage of GCP resources will be crucial in ensuring adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, you will be expected to implement cost reduction techniques, such as rightsizing, reserved instances, spot instances, and auto-scaling, to optimize cloud spend. Providing day-to-day support for GCP services will be part of your routine, including incident management, vendor cases, GCP configurations, backup/restore, and network connectivity. You will be responsible for provisioning GCP projects and services based on approved architecture designs and patterns, as well as supporting FinOps planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
