As an IT and Web Development Executive in the Information Technology department, you will be reporting to the Head of Operations & Productions and the Director. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy websites. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and debug and resolve technical issues as they arise. Ensuring that websites are responsive, optimized for performance, and compatible across different browsers and devices will be crucial. Additionally, you will deploy websites to cloud servers and manage databases, particularly MySQL. Implementing security best practices to protect websites and user data will also be part of your role, along with staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. To excel in this role, you should have a strong proficiency in Python and experience with the Django framework. Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization, is required. A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is essential. Experience with MySQL and the ability to deploy websites to cloud servers are also necessary. Knowledge of the Linux operating system, command line tools, and familiarity with FileZilla or other FTP clients for file transfer will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities are essential qualities for success in this role. Preferred qualifications for this position include experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular, using MailChimp for sending out bulk emails, familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and an understanding of SEO principles and best practices. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Operations & Productions and the Director, while also being expected to work independently. Effective communication and the maintenance of relationships with all staff in the Company, contractors, clients, and visitors will be vital for success.,
