Frontend Engineer (UX-Focused)

As a talented Frontend Engineer with a strong background in UX design and experience in modern web application development, you will be responsible for building high-quality, user-friendly interfaces. Your role will involve collaborating with backend teams to ensure seamless integration and contributing to the optimization of performance for fast and smooth application load times. You should have a solid understanding of database management and caching layers, along with experience in utilizing GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation and workflow improvements. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining dynamic, interactive web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as Next.JS, Bun, React, Vue, or Angular. You will advocate for best UX/UI practices to ensure intuitive, accessible, and seamless user experiences across platforms. Collaboration with product managers and backend engineers to build scalable applications, writing high-quality, clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices, and integrating frontend applications with backend services are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to frontend performance, usability, and cross-browser compatibility, as well as participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. In terms of skills and experience, proficiency in HTML, CSS (Tailwind), JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with Java-based environments is required. You should also have expertise in modern frontend frameworks, a strong knowledge of UX principles and accessibility standards, as well as experience with state management solutions, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets. Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD for prototyping and collaboration, database management (SQL, NoSQL), and caching layers (Redis, Memcached) is essential. Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and workflow automation, as well as experience contributing to open-source projects or an active GitHub profile, are important as well. Comfort working in an agile development environment and willingness to work in UK shift hours to align with business needs are also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience with server-side rendering, knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) & OpenStack platform, familiarity with progressive web apps (PWAs), and exposure to backend frameworks such as Node.js, Spring Boot, or Express.js.,
