Lead contract negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other vendors to secure competitive rates and reliable capacity. Manage and maintain strong relationships with sea freight carriers, ensuring high service standards, punctual delivery, and adherence to contractual commitments. Stay updated on market trends, port conditions, and global maritime regulations to guide procurement decisions and mitigate risks. Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with customer requirements and financial goals. Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations such as IMO and SOLAS, along with trade compliance standards. Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, improved lead times, and enhanced supply chain performance. Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and vendor metrics for senior leadership. Candidate Profile Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sea freight procurement or logistics, preferably within freight forwarding or shipping sectors. Strong expertise in sea freight operations, including container shipping, port logistics, and knowledge of Incoterms. Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and vendor relationship management with shipping lines and suppliers. Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Mandarin is highly desirable.
