Role & responsibilities Pavement Design: Perform design of flexible and rigid pavements in accordance with IRC/MoRTH/ASTHO or relevant standards. Carry out pavement thickness design and layer composition using IITPAVE software and other relevant tools. Prepare pavement evaluation and overlay design based on field investigations, traffic loading, and subgrade conditions. Develop detailed pavement design reports , specifications, and BOQs. Conduct technical analysis of soil/CBR and material properties as inputs for design. Traffic Analysis: Analyse and interpret traffic survey data , including classified volume counts, axle load surveys, origin-destination studies, and speed-delay studies. Assess traffic growth rates, directional distribution, and peak hour factors to inform design decisions. Perform capacity analysis, level of service evaluation, and congestion assessment for existing and proposed road facilities. Assist in the preparation of traffic management plans and recommendations to improve safety and efficiency. Support in developing traffic forecasts and integrating traffic findings into the overall design of roads and junctions. Preferred candidate profile Solid understanding of flexible and rigid pavement design principles and codal requirements. Proficiency in IITPAVE software and MS Excel for calculations and data analysis. Basic knowledge of traffic simulation or modeling software (optional but desirable). Ability to analyze large datasets from traffic surveys and synthesize meaningful insights. Strong technical documentation and report-writing skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines.
