Fitter

Role

A skilled fitter should be able to fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems, motors. The fitter's responsibilities include keeping accurate records of all maintenance work done, repairing malfunctioning mechanical systems, and evening out any rough spots on the fabricated components using grinders, hand files, and scrapers. He should also be able to collaborate with other Fitters on large-scale projects.

Also, you should be familiar with hand/power tools and should be able to operate heavy machinery whenever required.

Responsibilities

· Using welding equipment to fuse structural components.

· Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.

· Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed.

· Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction.

· Replacing damaged or defective components as needed.

· Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations.

· Examining and measuring components to ensure that they are of the correct size and quality

· Performing regular maintenance checks

· Placing replacement orders for defective or broken parts

· Fabricating, assembling, and disassembling metal parts and tools as and when required

· Cleaning the work area before and after work

· Perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical systems and equipment

· Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Requirements

· The ability to use hand and power tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

· Exceptional welding and mechanical skills

· Ability to work for long, flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions

· Good physical and mental strength

Qualifications and skills

· Diploma in relevant field

· 4 years of proven experience working as a fitter.

· Knowledge of engineering science and technology

· The ability to work well with others

· Attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
