CHEMKART INDIA LIMITED Subordinates: Production Supervisor(s) Quality Head Warehouse Manager Production Accountant Qualifications: Basics: Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science; Mechanical Engineer preferred Experience: Minimum 7 years in manufacturing operations Requisite skills and knowledge for this position: Fluent spoken and written English Team player with ability to think clearly Clear understanding of accounting concepts Ability to coordinate with external agencies Job description: Operations and Production Management: Prepare, manage, and coordinate daily production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing of products Supervise all departments within the facility, including production, quality control, maintenance, packaging, warehouse, and logistics Ensure that all machinery and equipment are running efficiently and troubleshoot any operational issues promptly to minimize downtime Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with the procurement team to avoid production delays due to shortages Review and approve daily production reports, ensuring adherence to planned output, quality standards, and efficiency metrics Implement and Maintain Production Processes: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed rigorously across all production lines Utilize automation systems and advanced manufacturing technologies to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance productivity Oversee the packaging and labelling processes to ensure products meet all quality and regulatory requirements before distribution Monitor Production Efficiency and Quality: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, cycle times, waste reduction, and equipment utilization to optimize factory performance Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce costs Conduct regular quality audits and work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory requirements Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with R&D, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align production with market demand and customer requirements Liaise with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule routine equipment maintenance and address any technical issues affecting production Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage inventory levels and optimize raw material procurement and finished goods distribution Ensure Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the factory operates in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations Oversee regular safety drills and training programs to maintain a safe working environment for all employees Manage compliance with Special Economic Zone (SEZ) regulations for smooth operations in both domestic and international markets Continuous Improvement and Cost Optimization: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainable practices to reduce the factory's environmental footprint Decision making and authority: As per authority matrix defined in Production procedures
