Job Description

Job Summary:

The School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and staff, ensuring smooth front desk operations. The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a professional demeanor to manage inquiries, administrative tasks, and school-related correspondence efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:Front Desk Management:

  • Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages, directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes as per school security protocols.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage student attendance records and maintain daily registers.
  • Assist in admission inquiries, distribute application forms, and provide necessary information.
  • Maintain and update student and staff records in the school database.
  • Handle postal and courier services, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of school documents.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with teachers, staff, and parents regarding school events, circulars, and notices.
  • Schedule and manage appointments for the Principal and school authorities.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

Office Management:

  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and well-organized.
  • Manage office supplies and requisitions for stationery and other essentials.
  • Support staff in preparing reports, documents, and letters as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in front desk operations, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software.
  • Hindi and English typing is mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
  • A welcoming and professional attitude with good telephone etiquette.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience in a CBSE school environment.
  • Familiarity with school administration procedures and CBSE guidelines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Salary: As per industry standards and school policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
