Faculty – MCA Department

Job Summary:

The MCA Department is seeking an experienced and academically accomplished faculty member with a strong foundation in Computer Applications. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Applications (MCA) – this is mandatory. Candidates should also have a postgraduate degree in MCA and an undergraduate degree in BCA or related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching or academic research is essential. Preference will be given to those who have cleared NET/SLET/KSET. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, teaching ability, and research orientation to contribute to the academic excellence of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective lectures and conduct lab sessions for MCA and BCA students.
• Mentor students in academic projects, coding competitions, and industry-relevant learning.
• Design and update course curriculum based on advancements in computer applications and software development.
• Pursue academic research and publish papers in recognized journals and conferences.
• Organize workshops, hackathons, and seminars to enrich student learning.
• Collaborate with peers to drive innovation and academic quality in the department.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Applications (MCA) – Mandatory
• Master’s degree in MCA – Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in BCA or equivalent – Mandatory
• NET / SLET / KSET in Computer Applications – Preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching and/or research experience in higher education

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical and theoretical understanding of core computer application subjects.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, C++, etc.) and modern development tools.
• Effective communication and teaching skills.
• Research capabilities and a track record of publications (preferred).
• Commitment to student development and academic innovation.
• Collaborative attitude with leadership potential in academic initiatives.
