Job Summary: The Factory Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the container & component manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, leading a production team, and coordinating with other departments to achieve organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Factory Operation Management: Oversee end-to-end factory operations including Power Press, Offset Printing, and Can Assembly Line. Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Monitor production metrics, such as throughput, efficiency, and quality, and take corrective actions as needed. Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with planning and supply chain teams to ensure optimal raw material availability and output scheduling. 2. Quality Assurance : Ensure compliance with all internal and external quality and safety standards (ISO, BIS, etc.). Coordinate with QA/QC team for maintaining consistent quality standards in all production batches. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste. 3. Process Optimization & Cost Management : Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reducing rejection, rework, and downtime. Identify and implement cost-saving measures in manufacturing and utility consumption. 4. Team & Manpower Management / Leadership: Lead and motivate a workforce of 200+ employees including supervisors, operators, and technical staff. Ensure effective deployment, skill enhancement, and performance evaluation of the team. Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement. 5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements related to labour, environment, health, and safety. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Address any safety issues promptly and implement corrective actions. 6. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. Monitor and manage the supply chain to minimize production disruptions. 7. Cost Control: Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures. Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality. 8. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the production team. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in container manufacturing. Lead efforts to implement new technologies and processes in the manufacturing line. 9. Reporting System : Update daily , weekly & monthly reports to management on regular bases. Ensure that SAP process will strictly follows by the team. Maintain and update the Factory Flash Report on monthly bases and update to the Sr. Management. Candidate Requirements: Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering (Preferred) Experience: 15-20 years in Metal Packaging / Container Manufacturing line. Minimum 5 years as Operation Manager / Factory Manager. Proven experience in handling Power Press, Offset Printing Machines (Preferably 2-colour / 3-colour), UV Printing & Can Assembly Line. Skills : Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen will be an advantage. Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
