Western India Cashew is looking to recruit Executive- R&D preferably with FMCG industry background to be part of Quality Department. in its Unit based out in Karunagpplay, Kollam The incumbent will. Preferably candidate from Kollam


Duties & Responsibilities

To be aware of commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Conduct research to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform product development strategies. Ensure that R&D activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry

Monitor and analyze product quality data to identify areas for improvement.

Maintain detailed records of experiments, formulations, and results.

Prepare regular reports summarizing R&D activities, achievements, and future plans.

Conducting internal audits, keeping checklists, SOP development and large-scale production analysis.

Establish and maintain quality control procedures for raw materials, in process, and finished products.

Work with production teams to implement corrective actions based on quality feedback, Market research, product launch

Utilize scientific principles and methodologies to formulate new product recipes and formulations that meet consumer needs and regulatory requirements.

Conduct product testing and evaluation to assess performance, stability, and sensory attributes.

Optimize existing product formulations and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Stay current on industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform R&D strategies and ensure compliance.

Support the scale-up and transfer of new products to manufacturing, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting as needed.

Maintain accurate documentation of R&D activities, including formulation records, lab reports, and project timelines.

Be a part to Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the R&D team.Role & responsibilities


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Food Technology.

  • A background of at least 4 - 6 years in a similar role in food industry

  • Proven experience in R&D roles within the FMCG industry, with a focus on product development and innovation.

  • Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
