Role & responsibilities ETL Testing: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and plans for ETL pipelines and workflows to validate data transformation, integration, and migration. DBT Data Validation: Use DBT to test, document, and monitor data models, including writing DBT tests ( generic, singular, custom). Snowflake Testing: Validate data loads, transformations, and warehousing in Snowflake / SQL environments. Automation & CI/CD: Design and implement automated testing scripts for ETL processes, using tools and frameworks to integrate testing in CI/CD pipelines. Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including requirements traceability, test cases, results, and defect logs. Collaboration: Work with data engineers, BI developers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and ensure timely delivery. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, providing insights for process improvements. Data Quality Assurance: Develop and execute data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
