ETL-Associate Architect

As an Associate Architect (IND) at Elevance Health, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance ETL solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and loading. You will define and maintain data architecture standards, best practices, and governance policies while collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. Your role will involve optimizing existing ETL pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across all data flows. In this position, you will lead the evaluation and selection of ETL tools and technologies, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers. Additionally, you will be expected to document data flows, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications. It would be beneficial to have experience with Snowflake and Oracle. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in data engineering or ETL development. Strong expertise in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, SSIS, or similar is essential, as well as proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies are also required. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with good business communication skills. You should be committed, accountable, and able to communicate status to stakeholders in a timely manner.
