We are currently hiring for the position of SCADA Engineer in Coimbatore with 2 to 4 years of work experience and a qualification of Diploma or B.E in Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Mechatronics or related field. As a SCADA Engineer at Craftsman Automation, your key responsibilities and duties will include designing and developing SCADA programs for RGV, Conveyors, Stacker cranes, and other warehouse automation products. You will be providing high-quality engineering services such as configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems. Additionally, you will manage and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards while preparing and maintaining detailed documentation of SCADA system configurations and project progress. Collaborating closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing SCADA systems that meet customer requirements. We are looking for candidates with experience in SCADA programming, HMI Development, and Basic PLC Programming. Proven experience in developing and implementing SCADA systems is essential, along with proficiency in Database Connectivity, familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and communication protocols, and incremental development/improvement of existing applications and bug fixes. Experience in the field of warehouse automation, Siemens Wincc Products, OPC, HMI programming, SQL will be an added advantage. Testing of codes with simulation tools and methodologies with documentation, strong knowledge in c#, javascript, and database systems are also desired qualities. As a SCADA Engineer, you should be an enthusiastic, result-driven professional with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on attitude. Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting is also required. You will be joining us as a full-time on-site PLC SCADA Programmer at L&T Technology Services locations in Baroda, Chennai & Mysore. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing PLC and SCADA systems, troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system performance, and implementing system upgrades. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure that the systems meet project requirements and deadlines. To excel in this role, you should have a total of 5-8 years of experience as an Automation Engineer. Hands-on program development experience for PLC, SCADA/HMI on platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc. is required. Additionally, you should possess a strong understanding of communication protocols like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA/DA, MQTT. Experience in machine program development, commissioning, IOT applications, Edge solutions, Historians, and SQL or any other database will be advantageous. Domain expertise in FMCG, Energy, Food, Pharma, and Automotive Industry segments is highly desirable. Previous experience in user acceptance testing in Process Industries will be valued.
