Covering a wide range from gaming & competitive esports to the latest in anime, concerts, and youth culture trends, we are committed to telling compelling stories for stakeholders in gaming, esports, and pop culture industries. We are currently seeking a Video Journalist specializing in gaming and other pop culture to craft engaging short-form vertical content for platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and various social media channels. As the face of our content, you will delve into the latest trends and news relevant to young audiences across the gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture sectors. Responsibilities: - Creating and publishing 2-3 high-quality short videos daily for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms - Scriptwriting and presenting on-camera content covering gaming news, anime releases, music trends, and youth culture moments - Staying updated on social media trends and gaming communities to identify viral content opportunities - Reporting on gaming events, product launches, anime drops, music releases, and cultural phenomena in real-time - Engaging with viewers through comments, live streams, and interactive content to foster community growth - Collaborating with the editorial team to uphold Outlook India's editorial standards Basic Qualifications: - Strong on-camera presence with excellent speaking skills in English and Hindi - In-depth knowledge of gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture trends - Proficiency in Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video formats - Ability to work efficiently and meet daily content deadlines - Strong storytelling abilities to simplify and make complex topics engaging - Previous experience in creating popular social media content or building online followings Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in mobile video editing apps (Cap Cut, In Shot, etc.) and basic video production techniques - Background in journalism, content creation, or digital media - Active participation in gaming or anime communities with a solid understanding of audience preferences - Experience with live streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube Live, Instagram Live - Knowledge of the business aspects of the gaming and entertainment industries This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture while creating impactful content for a global audience.
