As an advanced database support engineer within Oracle Customer Success Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our customers. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides support and services on database, engineered systems, and cloud technologies to our premium clients. Your responsibilities will include delivering assistance throughout the entire life cycle of the product, from architecture design to implementation, optimization, and maintenance. As a Staff member, your primary responsibilities and accountabilities will include: - Having experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. - Handling Database Administration, Solution design, Database Migration, and manageability for Mission Critical Enterprise Applications in Datacenter and Cloud Deployments. - Leading End to End Database Migration from On-Prem to Cloud Infrastructure including Virtual Network Design, routing rules, security groups, Instance creation, and database deployment. - Managing Oracle databases such as 19c, 18c & 12c upgrade, production support, and cross-platform migration. - Upgrading Oracle Data Bases from 9i, 10g, and 11g to 12c, 18c & 19c on various platforms. - Possessing experience in databases other than Oracle like MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo. - Demonstrating good written/verbal communication, presentation, and interactive skills with teams across geographies. - Being flexible to work independently or collaboratively with the Cloud Infrastructure team to identify and implement efficient cloud-based solutions for the company. Good to have: - Knowledge on Engineered Systems including Oracle Exadata Cloud Machine. - Experience in Exadata administration, patching, and performance tuning. - Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform. Requirements (including Experience, Skills, And Additional Qualifications): - 2-4 years of relevant experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and/or supporting highly distributed applications. - Extensive experience working on at least one Public Cloud Oracle/Azure/Google. Oracle Cloud is preferred. - Certification in Public Cloud Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Certified Architect Professional. - Technical experience in Designing, Developing, Deploying, and/or Migrating mission-critical business applications to Cloud environments including re-platforming of such systems. - Expertise in architecting best technical solutions based on customer requirements. - Experience in giving presentations to executive audiences and explaining the benefits of the platform and service solution over competitors. - Serving as a technical lead for engagements such as Proof of Concepts and Architectural Design Sessions to define and design a complete solution using best practices on Oracle Cloud. - System administration experience (Linux, Solaris). Competencies/Skills: - Possessing good communication skills to coordinate and resolve queries of both external and internal customers. - Being a self-motivator and result-oriented to complete tasks as per timelines. - Having good analytical and problem-solving skills.
