Job Description

As a Network Engineer at Magna International in Bangalore, India, you will be part of a dynamic IT team responsible for designing, deploying, and managing advanced network monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our global IT infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse team to enhance network security and performance. Your key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based network solutions such as routing, switching, and wireless networks. You will also configure and maintain network devices, utilize Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control, and optimize network performance using Cisco Catalyst Center. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues, monitor performance and security, and collaborate with other IT team members to support and enhance the overall network infrastructure. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies. Proficiency in VLANs, VTP, BGP, SD-WAN, Spanning Tree, and experience with wireless network design and deployment are required. Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable, along with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of network security principles. Preferred qualifications include experience with Fortinet firewalls, knowledge of hybrid cloud environments, familiarity with ITIL processes, and the ability to work in different time zones.
