Engineer II - Software Development

Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, API development, and database technologies (Oracle/PostgreSQL) to design, develop, and manage robust database-driven applications. This role involves working with Java-based frameworks , cloud environments, and database technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development , strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead complex projects. Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot , and Microservices architecture . Experience with Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud) . Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration between services. Develop and implement database schemas (Oracle & PostgreSQL), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization . Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and JVM internals . Familiarity with securing Java applications using OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and other security protocols. System Design & Integration: Collaborate with application architects and business analysts to design and integrate Java-based solutions with databases and external systems. Ensure seamless integration between Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and front-end/middleware applications. Testing & Documentation: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests for Java-based applications. Maintain comprehensive documentation for application designs, database schemas, and system workflows . Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework . Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development . Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases , including SQL tuning and optimization. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Development Practices: Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies . Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines . Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices . Good to Have: Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Understanding of middleware technologies and APIs for database interaction. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field. Exposure to DevOps practices and tools. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
